4 steps to help get you underway

STEP 1: Start by asking yourself, what makes me laugh?

  • When was the last time I enjoyed a good laugh at something?
  • What comedians do I like?
  • What do I find funny?
  • Who do I know personally that is always able to make me laugh?
  • What sort of comedy do I like?

STEP 2: Gathering your resources. Sourcing material that makes you laugh

  • If I had my own personal Laughter Library, what would be in it?
  • How can I build a Laughter Library Playlist on my mobile phone?
  • When was the last time I sat and watched a comedy or went to a comedy club?
  • Check out Utube clips of comedians; sitcoms; podcasts; cartoons, movies ect..

STEP 3: How can I bring more laughter into my life? Daily laughter therapy

  • How can continually add to my Laughter Library.
  • I will give myself a 20-30 min Laughter Therapy session every day.
  • I will try to reduce my news input & increase my exposure to comedy.

STEP 4: Sharing the laughter with others

  • I will try and spend more time with those people who make me laugh.
  • I will try and share my Laughter Library with friends and family.
  • I will also be mindful, that ‘not everybody’ may share my sense of humour.
